For thogh we slepe or wake, or rome, or ryde, Ay fleeth the tyme; it nil no [will no] man abyde.
[c 1390 Chaucer Clerk's Tale l. 118]
The party’s over
It’s time to call it a day
They’ve burst your pretty balloon
And taken the moon away
It’s time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up the piper must be paid
It’s time to call it a day
They’ve burst your pretty balloon
And taken the moon away
It’s time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up the piper must be paid
The party’s over
The candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party’s over
It’s all over, my friend
The candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party’s over
It’s all over, my friend

I’ve done a little housekeeping…it’s time to move on.

Make sure you pay a visit to tJ’s cafe from time to time. We miss you, and I could use a few good laughs from time to time!
Well Hidee Ho to you fair one. The ocean looks inviting. Maybe I can take a nose dive in the deep and find me some lunch. I hope you have been enjoying this summer and not working too hard. Some parts of the states are having one heck of a time with the high temps. I am thankful our weather has been moderate but we have a ways to go yet. We generally can feel fall in the air after the second week of August.
It is so good to have a blog to visit again. Welcome home!
Hi Vicky! I’ll be out and about more soon. I’ve missed everyone! I decided to do a little house cleaning, so now I have to think of something to fill up the empty space!
Ahhhh Jonathon, I’m so glad to see you! It’s been sweltering in my neck of the woods. I may have to make a trip to NS to cool off! I don’t expect a break in the weather until late October, so I’m fanning myself and sipping mint juleps to keep from melting. I’ll be stopping by your neck of the woods here soon!
Sis~~ I am looking forward to one of your plays. Did ‘Bob’ finally turn back into a frog and croak? *Ribbet ribbet * smile. That play was a hoot and a lot of imagination went into it. I will be checking back to see what you have up your sleeve. Until then…
